From the streets of Harlem to the golden age of musical theatre, swing and tap dance have always been deeply intertwined with jazz.

Australian singer, dancer and tap artist Wendy Lee Taylor brings her sparkling blend of jazz, rhythm and dance to the stage for an evening of irresistible energy and swing.

A true crossover performer, Wendy moves effortlessly between jazz singing and tap dance, weaving rhythm, melody and playful improvisation into a unique performance style. Surrounded by outstanding jazz musicians, she celebrates the joy of swing with beloved standards by Cole Porter, George Gershwin and Irving Berlin, while paying tribute to the great dance traditions that made tap an art form — from Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers to Gregory Hines.

Drawing on her fifteen years as a featured soloist with the orchestra of the Lido de Paris, Wendy also adds a delightful French touch to this project, integrating French standards by icons such as Claude Nougaro, Serge Gainsbourg, Charles Trenet and Charles Aznavour.

Blending rich melodies, timeless lyrics, driving swing and spirited improvisation, this uplifting show captures the energy, elegance and joy of jazz at its most entertaining.

Forte de son expérience au Lido de Paris et au Caveau de la Huchette, Wendy incorpore dans son programme des chansons françaises — Nougaro, Gainsbourg, Trenet, Aznavour, entre autres — qu’elle marie avec les grands standards de Cole Porter, George Gershwin et Duke Ellington, le tout associé à la magie des claquettes, de Fred Astaire à Jimmy Slyde.
